Terms & Conditions
Effective: 16 October 2026
These Terms distinguish between RibiStore’s gift-card transaction flow and ordinary purchases made directly with merchants. Merchant gifting can also be subject to separate commercial terms.
1. About these Terms
These Terms govern your use of RibiStore. By using the service, creating an account, purchasing or redeeming a gift card, or listing or claiming a business, you agree to these Terms and any additional terms shown for the relevant service. If you use RibiStore for a business, you confirm you have authority to bind that business.
2. What RibiStore does
RibiStore is a business discovery, storefront and gifting service. Business pages can show products and services and provide links or contact routes to merchants. Unless a page expressly says otherwise, RibiStore is not the seller of ordinary products or services shown in a merchant catalogue and does not process those ordinary purchases. Gift-card purchases offered through RibiStore are the exception and are completed through the RibiStore gift flow.
3. Accounts
You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure and promptly update material changes. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account unless caused by our failure to use reasonable security. We may require additional verification, restrict access or suspend an account where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, compliance or enforcement of these Terms.
4. Directory listings and business claims
RibiStore may publish factual business information from public sources. An unclaimed page is a directory listing and does not state or imply that the business has partnered with, endorsed or authorised RibiStore. A person claiming a business must be authorised to represent it and may be asked to verify a business email, phone number or provide supporting evidence.
5. Merchant storefronts
Verified business users are responsible for keeping their business information, catalogue, prices, availability, customer destinations and other content accurate. Merchants must not publish unlawful, misleading, infringing or deceptive content. Ordinary products and services remain sold and fulfilled by the merchant directly, including customer service, returns, warranties and merchant-specific purchase terms.
6. Gift-card activation
A business is not giftable merely because it appears on RibiStore. Gift cards may be offered only after the relevant business has been approved for gifting and accepted applicable commercial terms. RibiStore may require additional verification, settlement, tax, risk or compliance information before or after activation.
7. Buying gift cards
Available denominations, currencies, minimum values, maximum values and custom-value options are shown at purchase and may vary by merchant or market. RibiStore may impose or change transaction, account or programme limits for fraud, risk, payment-provider, regulatory or operational reasons. A transaction is not complete until payment is successfully authorised and we issue confirmation.
8. Using and redeeming gift cards
A merchant gift card is intended for the participating business identified on the gift. Eligibility, redemption method, expiry where lawful, exclusions and any merchant-specific conditions will be shown with the gift or at purchase. Gift cards are not bank accounts, general-purpose payment cards or cash and cannot be used with unrelated merchants. Cash redemption is available only where required by applicable law.
9. Delivery, loss and unauthorised use
You are responsible for providing accurate recipient details. Contact support promptly if a gift is sent to the wrong address, not received, lost or appears to have been used without permission. We may pause, replace or investigate a gift where reasonably possible, but replacement is not guaranteed after valid redemption or where the purchaser supplied incorrect delivery information.
10. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellation and refund rights depend on applicable law, the status of the gift and any merchant-specific conditions disclosed at purchase. We may be unable to cancel a gift after it has been redeemed or irrevocably fulfilled. Nothing in these Terms removes mandatory consumer rights that apply to you.
11. Payments, fees and currency
Prices and applicable charges are displayed before checkout. Your bank or payment provider may apply its own fees or currency-conversion rates. Payments may be processed by third-party providers and can be subject to their security and authentication procedures. We may refuse or reverse a transaction where required for fraud prevention, sanctions, legal compliance or payment integrity.
12. Merchant content and intellectual property
Businesses retain rights in content they provide and grant RibiStore a non-exclusive licence to host, reproduce, format and display that content as needed to operate, market and improve their storefront and enabled gifting programme. A merchant must have the rights needed for logos, photographs, product information and other materials it uploads. RibiStore retains rights in its software, design, brand and original content.
13. Acceptable use
You must not misuse RibiStore, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with security, scrape the service in a way that harms its operation, create fraudulent listings or claims, manipulate gifts or payments, impersonate another person or business, or use the service for unlawful activity. We may investigate and take proportionate action against suspected abuse.
14. Third-party merchants and links
RibiStore can link to merchant websites, WhatsApp, social pages and other third-party services. Those services are controlled by third parties. Disputes concerning an ordinary product or service purchased directly from a merchant should normally be raised with that merchant, although we may assist with information about the RibiStore listing where appropriate.
15. Service availability and changes
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features; update eligibility or transaction controls; or remove content where reasonably necessary. Where a change materially affects an existing paid gift, we will handle the gift consistently with applicable law and its purchase terms.
16. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded. To the extent permitted by law, RibiStore is not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, losses caused by a merchant’s independent sale or fulfilment of ordinary goods or services, or events outside our reasonable control. Any limitation of liability will be applied only to the extent permitted by the law governing the relevant transaction.
17. Suspension and termination
You may stop using RibiStore at any time. We may suspend or terminate access, remove a listing or disable gifting where there is material breach, fraud, security risk, legal or payment-provider requirement, or a risk of harm to customers, merchants or the service. Provisions that by their nature should continue after termination remain effective.
18. Governing law and local rights
RibiStore operates across multiple markets. Mandatory consumer, payment and data-protection rules in your country may apply regardless of these Terms. Any governing-law or dispute provision specific to the contracting RibiStore entity or merchant programme should be presented during onboarding or checkout where required. These Terms do not override rights that cannot lawfully be waived.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law, risk controls or business model. The current version and effective date will be published here. Where required, we will provide additional notice before a material change takes effect.
